Yes.. Hopefully we won't have these issues after this week. It's becoming more and more common most recently..

NOC Staff replied with below message when we were having issues the other day..

Quote:
This was do to a heavy ddos attack on a client on that access switch you are on. This should be resolved by the end of this week for this access switch so that ddoses are not so affecting across the same access switch. Other access switches are also scheduled but in the near future.

Regards,
Bill

What pisses me off is whenever this happens (a lot lately) I can't reach their support system nor does anyone answer their phones.

Although I see where you are coming from... I think we can all say we know CDC isn't just sitting on their butt's if they are not responding tickets during situations like this.

I think it's fair to say they're trying to get network connectivity to normal, and aren't going to worry about tickets right off necessarily.

I don't think he is referring to "no response to a ticket" as much as the "lack of ability to submit a ticket" as they host everything internal.

We registered a brief outage (1 minute duration) a few minutes ago @ 7:58pm Central. Currently we are seeing about 10% packet loss.

Well, I think it's safe to say if your network connectivity at CDC, and their website is slow... That they're having network issues all together.

As a side note, their site slows down, it doesn't necessarily shut down.. We email the support email address every time that this has happened, and the ticket did open. Although it did take a few minutes more than normal.

We are still at 90%+ packet loss for the past ~30 mins.
