I can't access Networksolutions.com. Domains that use Network solutions are not resolving as well. NS Twitter @ https://twitter.com/netsolcares/ has no update on this, last post is 16 hours ago @ https://twitter.com/netsolcares/stat...73518326562816

Facebook post 21 hours ago @ https://www.facebook.com/networksolu...51466801446020 has very little other then a link to a blog that is down as well and some angry comments.

Wow. Glad I don't use them for anything. This also shows the value of maintaining your own backups so you can quickly switch to another provider.

Also confirming, noticed our Network Solutions hosted DNS was not resolving around 9AM CST.

One of my clients was told to go to https://www.networksolutions.com/help/email.jsp and fill out a support ticket. Iron is that https://www.networksolutions.com/ is down.

I called 1-866-391-4357 and the pre recorded greeting states they are under a DDoS with no ETA.

Tech support line says they are getting hit by DDOS attack, no ETA

i really feel sorry for their thousands of customers. and, it's a pain for the rest of us, since they provide dns for how many thousands of domains that are now un-resolvable. in fact, my mail server's queue is growing as more and more emails sent by my customers can't be delivered because of dns failures.

We have a customer who's site is spotty at best because one of their DNS servers hasn't been responding for the past 12 hours or so. I'm surprised NetSol can't get a DDoS attack under control. They charge 3.5x the going rate for domains. They ought to have plenty of funds to pay for the infrastructure necessary to soak up pretty much anything.

i use srsplus - the wholesale arm of netsol - as my registrar, but i run my own dns servers. srsplus recently announced that they can provide dns support, and until today, i was seriously considering it. now, i'm not so sure.....

https://www.networksolutions.com/ seems to back up. Domains using NS DNS still down for me.

One of the sites I host and monitor just went down 15 minutes ago because of this. Nothing I can do to help them at this point.

Sorry for being off topic but can anyone explain to me the purpose of all these DDoS attacks? Who is doing them? Is it mostly script kiddies just getting their jollies? Seems to be a big internet problem in general and getting worse and nobody seems to have found a practical inexpensive way to deal with it.

Why aren't companies trying to get medieval on these little shits! Are they that hard to track down?
