Hi,

My server in Zlin has been unreachable for about 36 hours now. It seems that part of the FDC IP space works fine, other part(s) are unreachable from various locations. Including my IP(s).

Aparently there has been a transit/upstream provider switch, and this new provider is just losing traffic to various destinations:

For example, one of the largest ISP's in Europe (UPC / Liberty Global / LGI) is not able to reach the network, traceroutes stop at kaiaglobal like shown above.

CEU/FDC keep saying that they are waiting for kaiaglobal to look at this issue. But meanwhile nothing happens, and this issue is going on for 36 hours now.

Anybody experiencing the same problems?

After about 3 days this has been fixed, however now it seems they are suffering power issues. My server did a hard/cold reboot about two hours ago. No response to support ticket so far either. Seems its about time to move away from this company..

Has it been fine since it was fixed? Are you staying with FDC ?

I was looking to get dedi from them.

Personally I am going to move away. During the recent outages (Network and power) they told me that they have no redundant infrastructure (neither network nor power).

Hence, I am moving. They might be very cheap but I will require some level of redundancy.

How long were you with them at Zlin for?

About a year. Network was okay, not great, not bad either. However since last month they are now single-homed (One upstream provider only). This change can potentially have a large impact for clients far away from EU.
