Zanyhost : gone for good?

Hi all,

Zanyhost went completely offline last week - no dns, no website, nothing. The website finally was available again about 24hrs later, but my vps didn't reappear. I opened a ticket that got a vague "I am looking into this" answer another 24 hours later, and since then - nothing. Does anyone have a server with them? Is there actually anyone still managing anything out there?

Did you try calling them on the number available on their website?

That would be a last resort as I'm not in the US, nor a native english speaker.

Anyway I finally got an answer, it looks like the company changed owners some time ago, and they told me the previous owner didn't pay the bill of the datacenter my VPS is hosted on. Well...

I've been offered a free month and a service upgrade, but so far my VPS is still offline.
