PowerVPS issues?

Posted by andyforkgen, 10-18-2013, 08:56 AM
Is anyone else having issues with their PowerVPS VPS today?

Cheers,

Andy.

Yup, "engineering is aware and working on it" I can't believe how bad things have gotten in the last year. shame on me for staying, but they have really good people who I like. It seems all hardware/upgrade/datacenter move related.. I have to get out.

Wow, you got a reply from support! Today they are not so efficient - I imagine swamped. Thanks for replying, glad it's not just me then!

All the best.

By the way....I feel your pain - the last time we had that 3-day outage, I vowed to migrate but it's so painful isn't it? It's like vowing to go to the dentist when that toothache kicks in then forgetting about it once it goes then regretting it so badly when it returns...

LOL I feel you on both counts! I'm thinking liquidvps.. I went through the initial stages after the pain of the multi-day outage but I have to follow it through.

this is not good.. I feel like they are usually resolved quickly or take forever. you still down?

Posted by andyforkgen, 10-18-2013, 09:47 AM
Yep, still issues here. I agree, not good...

I'm back! for now at least

Me too - phew, that was about an hour. Could have been worse...

Now, let's not forget that toothache and make a visit to the dentist!!

Cheers.

I'll let you know how it goes.. if you find anything good let me know :-)

so far I like the liquidvps setup routine, you build your own vps right in their interface and the pricing looks good.

sales and initial contact went really well also

It's a pity that there is no info on the problem on the website or in twitter, even for a short period of time. The load on your support would be lower and customers wouldn wouldn't have to search for a solution on forums.

I know, it's crazy. I have a mailing list of the "most needy customers" and email them then update our Twitter feed (@GlobalizeMeUK) as soon as Alertra tells me there is an issue - it's a self-preservation thing as much as anything else

Thanks, would be interested to see how it goes. We're UK based but don't have a preference. PowerVPS were good once... Cheers.

Down again! 90%+ packet loss. Can't SSH in! I've got stuff rigged together with no backup power that has substantially better uptime than this crap. The lack of communication and front line phone support is really there biggest offense.

mine have been up/down for last 3 hours
:-(

Packet loss is gone now. I'm not even mad about the tech issues like this BUT the atrociously planned migration that caused the last two outages and the complete inability for someone that cares to pick up the phone is just awful.

Even a simple twitter feed would be helpful...
