Hi Guys,

Anyone else have downtime issues with Awknet? Their network seems to be going in/out... wondering what's going on, but no one in their IRC seems to be active on EFNet.

Confirmed - All my servers are completely down. Coming up on about an hour now with zero connectivity. It appears their main site is also down right now.

I'm impacted with a bunch of sites, 6 VPS, and a Shell all hosted there..

And as usual, NOTHING from awknet as to whats going on.

I have the same deal here, seems like they might be having either a massive ddos attack ( which is unusual I only had one issue of downtime on my box where there ddos filter did not help due to the amount of traffic i.e exceeded the filter ) or other type of major issue ( power/network outage? ). Even if the support ticket system was up we all know it takes ages for a reply but at this point all we can do is leave a phone message (which I have)so its seems we are at a waiting game...

We're a partner with awknet, was notified by one of the managers that the tornado's are affecting all servers. They apologise for the lack of communicate as internet and telephone lines are down.

Not sure, I was just told that tornado's have brung the servers offline and they're working as hard as possible to resolve the issues.

Wait so is it power issues or tornadoes? Last I heard no tornadoes hit L.A. seems like we are getting the run around here.

I called Sunday and left a message I got no call back today. Will leave another message probably tonight would really like to know what is going on. Had just paid the next months bill hours before everything went down. Seriously starting to loose money at this point and not hearing anything is starting to become irritating.

of power equipment failures. Staff from the Department of Water and Power
as well as a team of electricians are working to fully restore power at
this time, altho we do not currently have an exact ETA.

Are they still down? Wow, that's really a mess. I hope they get this sorted soon. It's weird that it takes THAT long to fix.

I wouldn't expect them back anytime soon. We ended up setting up new servers elsewhere and restoring backups.

I believe the phone should be affected as well and you can hardly contact them via phone..

Tuesday 10pm update

DWP scheduled main power drop roll over. Old equipment decommissioned and new power circuits run. Generator issues continue. Should be online tonight.

I believe just responds via text. I remember him having an email that sent an emergency text to his phone, of course that email wouldn't work but surely some have his number.

my bnc on a Awknet server came back online at 5:20PM EST after been down for a few days =) been getting by with a bnc on a bluevm budget vps which has worked really great to cost less than a cup of coffee a day

reason for downtime in case anyone didnt know already...

"Awknet (Elmo/Apex) is still down. They say a transformer blew, generator failed and hopefully back up soon."
