Problems with cheap providers (photonvps and bursnert) ... find premium providers, You will enjoy more stability and health ;-)

You will need to wait for Burstnet support.
Test ping on one of my servers in LA (not with Burstnet) and get all OK results.

Not all cheap providers having this problem. I have a cheap cloud VPS but it is very solid. 100% availability for the past 1 year. System uptime is now 216 days. If I did not change the IP last April the uptime is more than 300 days.

Yes I agree. But I think what jackpx meant is about the support. If your VM is keep running, it is awesome. But at the moment of a crash, the support may not help you as well as a premium host can do. I am not saying the support of all cheap hosts are not good; but I guess what he meant. And of course, premium hosts are packed with good quality hardware and network.

There are lots of possibilities for OP's problems. Could be a network outage, crashed node, crashed VPS, OS misconfiguration, service suspension ... only Burst will be able to tell you why. But I take issue with this:

I have to jump on this. We've been with BurstNET for almost two years now using multiple services (including VPSes), and their service has been outstanding. Not just "outstanding for a cheap provider", but excellent all around. We are by no means a huge customer of theirs, yet they have always been helpful, thorough, and competent. We currently work with several other major providers, and BurstNET is consistently tied for first place in customer service. When things go wrong, I know they're one of the two providers who are going to work with us to get everything straightened out ASAP.

They get knocked around a lot on WHT because people (not saying you, OP) expect their $4 VPS to perform like a $400 dedicated server, but the reality is that their support is excellent and they have always stood behind everything they've ever sold us.
