In celebration of EV1's 6th birthday, we're planning a customer gathering on October 1-3. ALL current EV1 customers are invited. Those who are considering EV1 as a hosting provider are also encouraged to attend.

We expect this to be an especially productive event for companies who are interested in offering VPS hosting plans. The folks from SWSoft will be on hand to provide Virtuozzo training. Attendees who (a) are EV1 customers, (b) complete the training, and (c) agree to begin offering VPS plans within 30 days will receive a free Dual Xeon server and 10 free VE licenses through October 2005! (Disclaimer: we've planned for significant, but not unlimited, quantities. So RSVP ASAP!)

The agenda for the event is as follows:

October 1 (Friday)
* Data center tours (starting around 12PM)
* EV1 management team available for meetings
* MLB game (Houston Astros vs Colorado Rockies)

October 2 (Saturday)
* Virtuozzo training
* Meet with representatives from RedHat, Microsoft, SWSoft, GeoTrust, Urchin, Dell, Cyclades and more. Each vendor will present special offers and giveaways that are available only at the event
* Meet with reporters from PingZine and other industry publications
* EV1 Birthday Bash, featuring mini stock car races! casino games! other fun surprises!

October 3 (Sunday)
* EV1 management team available for meetings

There is no cost for any of the above events. However, each attendee is responsible for his/her own travel arrangements to/from Houston and hotel accommodations.

The closest airports to EV1 are Houston Hobby (HOU) and Houston Intercontinental (IAH). We recommend staying at the Inn at Ballpark (http://www.innattheballpark.com), which does offer high speed Internet access.

We have negotiated the following hotel package, which are available only to current EV1 customers:

Cost: $250
* 2 nights of hotel accommodation (per room, not per person)
* Limo transportation to and from either HOU or IAH
* 10 GeoTrust QuickSSL certificates ($1,490 retail value)
* Additional nights are available at $125
