SCRANTON, PA - October 20, 2004 - BurstNET Technologies, Inc.™ (http://www.burst.net), a leading provider of managed dedicated web hosting services, today announced it has been selected as a member of the 23rd annual "Inc 500". - a ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Inc. Magazine (http://www.inc.com), the premier publication for small and medium-sized businesses, released the list today. The "Inc 500" Special Issue will appear on newsstands October 26 and will be on display until December 21, 2004. BurstNET™ ranks #416 on the list with four year average annual sales growth of 90.7%. BurstNET™ is the only company in Northeastern Pennsylvania to be included in this year's list. In the past, a ranking on the list has been an early indicator of future accomplishments on a global scale. Companies that have made the "Inc 500" in the past include Timberland, The Sharper Image, Microsoft, Intuit, Domino's Pizza, & Oracle.

To be eligible for this year's "Inc 500", companies had to be independent and privately held through their fiscal year 2003, have had at least $200,000 in net sales in the base year of 2000, and $2 million in net sales for 2003. In addition, their 2003 sales had to exceed 2002 sales. Companies are ranked on averaged year-over-year sales growth. Inc. Magazine verifies all information using tax forms and audited financial statements from certified public accountants and by conducting interviews with company officials.
