Today we closed on the purchase of a new building that will become our new data center.

We have also established a new company to handle the building as it is much more than we need currently. It will actually become the new Atlanta NAP. The building is 75,000 sq feet and has expansion property for another buliding of this size.

Colo Facilities Atlanta, LLC. effective immediately is the new owner of 1100 White St. SW Atlanta GA. This new company will operate the building with the goal of operating the largest carrier neutral NAP in Atlanta. The goal is to also operate the NAP to world class standards while attaining the most cost effective position.

Background on 1100 White St.
The building was built in 1963 and was put into service as the main A&P grocery warehouse distribution facility for Atlanta. Consequently it was designed to handle tractor / trailers driving inside of it and to keep cooling inside. Therfore - it is built at dock height about 5 feet off the ground and there is no basement. The floors are all very high psi rating to handle fully loaded freight trucks so any kind of telecom and server density can go in no problem. The walls are 20 feet tall with brick and block construction and no windows. The roof is made of 5" pre stressed reinforced poured concrete on 12' steel I beams. They dont make them like this any more.

This building will survive a tornado or most anything you throw at it.

It is 5 miles from our current location and ideally situated on the way to the airport and on a major fiber ring owned by the local gas utility.

The power comapny has purchased the adjoining 3 acre plot and slotted it for a future power sub station to serve us directly if the load increased to justfiy its installation.

There are dock high doors and a full drive in delivery door capable of an 18 wheeler for companys to deliver products and equipment to.

The building will have a 1000 ton chiller installed with expansion for another 1000 tons which will provide chilled water for the air conditioners - this is the most power efficient way to provide cooliong and will save capittal for those that want to rent data center space in the building and provide their own a/c units.

GNAX has singed a lease for 25K sq feet of space in the NAP and will begin operations in the new building in January. The remaining 50K sq feet will be available for rent immediately for data center and colocation operations.

We are excited about this operation and look forward to the growth in it.
