HostChart's "Programmer's Challenge" needs a worthy cause

HostChart will be launching a website programming contest in late March with over $5,000 in cash and prizes going to the winner. We are hoping to make it over $10,000 but we have only secured a little over $5,000 in prize money so far.

The contest will be to design and build a simple 4-5 page website. We are looking for an organization or chairity that needs a website to be the recipient of the contest. We will work with this organization to gather their requirements and build them into the judging of the contest. It will be judged by the organization and a panel from our sponsor companies.

We are hoping to make this a regular event and develop competitive programming as a sport. There are competitive tours for cooking, video games, and ballroom dancing. Why not programming and graphic design?

Thanks for your help in finding an organization for this first competition. Please pm if you have a recommendation.

Best Regards,
Rodney
