VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA – Netarus is proud to announce the official beta release SCInterface™ (SCInterface Control Interface) version 2.0 beta with support for Linux and Microsoft Windows™ from http://games.scinterface.com. The addition of the Windows SC (also know as a remote agent) allows Windows systems to be managed and controlled from the same interface as Linux based platforms. Along with support for Windows based platforms, an automated evaluation program for SCInterface has been setup to simplify the deployment of SCInterface for evaluation purposes. The SCInterface automated evaluation is available to all qualified customers at http://www.scinterface.com/eval/.

SCInterface v2.0 beta is a commercial grade open source middleware platform for managing multiple types of game servers through a single user interface. Developed by Netarus LLC (http://www.netarus.com), Netarus is a solutions-oriented, software and interface development firm that creates innovative control solutions. SCInterface, its flagship product, consists of a three-tier architecture that allows any application to be monitored, managed and controlled half a world away in real time securely through the World Wide Web.

"Windows support is an eagerly anticipated and vital component to SCInterface, which provides a universal framework to integrate the large number of disparate game servers available today into a single interface," says Chris Machut, CEO, Netarus, LLC. "Only SCInterface could accomplish such a goal with its open source framework. The open source framework of SCInterface provides an easy to use platform to allow anyone to add in their own drivers (also known as SConnectors) to quickly customize SCInterface to meet their own needs."

With the release of SCInterface v2.0 beta release, a new automated evaluation program has been setup to allow potential customers to evaluate SCInterface seemless within their own environment. "All that someone needs to do to evaluate SCInterface is to fill in the application form, download and install the SC for either Linux or Windows onto their system and login to the main interface." explains Bill Cuffley, SCInterface's Lead Developer. "We handle the setup and configuration of the UI and the SCM within SCInterface for them automatically. Just download, install and login - it is as easy as that!"

The SCInterface automated evaluation program can be setup by anyone that has a compatible Linux or Windows system connected directly to the internet. Simply visit http://www.scinterface.com/eval/, fill in the application and you're ready to go. Any questions about the SCInterface automated evaluation program should be directed to the forums at http://forums.scinterface.com.

SCInterface v2.0 beta includes the following features and enhancements:
  • Windows Support (Commercial and Evaluation Licensees Only)
  • Improved diagnostics
  • Refreshed web interface

Netarus anticipates that the official v2.0 (non-beta) release of SCInterface will be available around the first couple of weeks of November. All questions about the beta Windows SC should be directed to the SCInterface forums at http://forums.scinterface.com.
